God loves children.

On Sunday, June 9th, Oakseed Ministries invites you to join us in A Day of Prayer for Children at High Risk.

“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when He appears we shall be like Him because we shall see Him as He is.”
1 John 3:1-2

The Lord draws the weak and vulnerable to Himself and adopts them as His own. Although they were once orphans, they are now co-heirs with Christ. The reality of their spiritual standing may not alter a child’s worldly standing, and so we will join in praying that these precious children would know both the adoption of God and the security of the love and care of a family.

Our goals for this focused day of prayer are simple:

  1. Call the church and God’s people to pray for children at high risk and those who minister among them.
  2. Raise awareness of the problems children at high-risk face every day.
  3. Encourage the faith of God’s people by highlighting a ministry partner that is making a difference among children at high risk. This year we will focus on Hanna Orphans Home, a ministry in Ethiopia.

Our God knows and loves every child, and He delights in hearing the prayers of his people. Will you join us in prayer? You can pray as a family, a small group, or as a congregation. Invite others to join you for a dedicated time of prayer for children at risk.

Below you will find a list of resources to help you, including a printable prayer guide to walk you through your time of prayer.

Join us as we pray. God loves these precious little ones, and He answers the prayers of His people.
